About the Town
Located on the western border of Cortland County, the Town of Cortlandville is the home of 8,509 citizens. The Town was formed in 1829 and currently covers 49.9 square miles. It surrounds the City of Cortland and has the Village of McGraw and a small part of the Village of Homer within its boundaries. The Town also has the hamlets of Blodgett Mills, South Cortland, Munson Corners, and Polkville.
The Town of Cortlandville contains four school districts including Cortland City, Homer Central, McGraw Central, and Dryden Central. Also, a portion of SUNY Cortland is located in the Town.
